Cloverfield Review!

Posted in Uncategorized on January 22, 2008 by er125

Cloverfield…………the monster………….it is ———–.

Cloverfield was an amazing movie. It’s basically about this guy, who loves this girl, and rescues her from a monster attacking Manhattan.  Now, from the beginning.

this guy, Rob, was getting this job in japan, so his friends threw him a surprise party.  During the party, they hear a big boom. Everyone rushes outside to see what happens and they see an explosion.  everybody rushes outside and sees the monster. they run for 7 hours. running. running. eventually, 90% of them die. then the movie ends.

basically it has a bad beginning and a bad ending but an amazing middle.

YEAH!

Why did the movie board…

Posted in Uncategorized on December 11, 2007 by er125

Why did the movie board make movies one rating higher if it has smoking or drinking?

G rating symbol

G – General Audiences
All ages admitted

PG rating symbol

PG – Parental guidance suggested
Some material may not be suitable for young children (originally meant “Some material may not be suitable for pre-teenagers”)

PG-13 rating symbol

PG-13 – Parents strongly cautioned
Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13.

R rating symbol

R – Restricted
Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian. (age may be 18 in some states)

NC-17 rating symbol

NC-17 – No Children 17 and Under Admitted.

(age may vary in certain areas)

If a film has not been submitted for a rating, the label NR (Not Rated) is often used; however, NR is not an official MPAA classification. Films that have not yet received MPAA classification, but are expected to, are often advertised with the notice “This Film Is Not Yet Rated” or, less frequently, “Rating Pending.” these are the movie rating’s.

The reason for rating’s going higher for drinking and smoking is so that kid’s arent influenced.
